Penicillin
IBA official cocktail, New Era. Whiskey based, shaken, served in a rocks glass.
Ingredients
| Fresh ginger | 3 slices |
| Blended Scotch | 60 ml (2 oz) |
| Lemon juice | 22.5 ml (¾ oz) |
| Honey syrup | 22.5 ml (¾ oz) |
| Islay Scotch | 7.5 ml (¼ oz) |
Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.
Method
- Muddle the ginger in a shaker.
- Add the blended Scotch, lemon and honey syrup and shake with ice.
- Double strain over a large cube.
- Float the Islay Scotch on top and garnish with candied ginger.
