50/50 Martini

The 50/50 Martini is a stirred gin cocktail, spirit-forward. It is made with gin, dry vermouth and orange bitters, served in a martini glass.

Equal gin and dry vermouth, closer to how the Martini was drunk a hundred years ago.

Ingredients

Gin45 ml (1½ oz)
Dry vermouth45 ml (1½ oz)
Orange bitters1 dash

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Add everything to a mixing glass with plenty of ice.
  2. Stir until very cold, about 30 seconds.
  3. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  4. Garnish with lemon twist.
