Chelada

The Chelada is a built cocktail from Mexico, fresh and citrusy and long and fizzy. It is made with lime juice and lager, served in a highball over ice.

The simpler sister of the Michelada: just lime and salt with a cold lager.

Ingredients

Lime juice30 ml (1 oz)
Salt1 pinch
Lagertop up, about 330 ml

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Fill a highball with ice.
  2. Pour the ingredients in order, topping last.
  3. Lift once gently with a barspoon.
  4. Garnish with salt rim and lime wedge.
