Satan’s Whiskers

The Satan’s Whiskers is a shaken gin cocktail. It is made with gin, dry vermouth, sweet vermouth and more, served in a coupe.

An equal-parts classic from the Savoy Cocktail Book, 1930.

Ingredients

Gin15 ml (½ oz)
Dry vermouth15 ml (½ oz)
Sweet vermouth15 ml (½ oz)
Grand Marnier15 ml (½ oz)
Orange juice15 ml (½ oz)
Orange bitters1 dash

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Add everything to a shaker and fill with ice.
  2. Shake hard for 10 to 12 seconds.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe.
  4. Garnish with orange peel.
