Japanese Cocktail
Brandy based, stirred, served in a coupe.
From Jerry Thomas, 1862, made for the first Japanese delegation to visit New York.
Ingredients
| Cognac | 60 ml (2 oz) |
| Orgeat | 15 ml (½ oz) |
| Angostura bitters | 2 dashes |
Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.
Method
- Add everything to a mixing glass with plenty of ice.
- Stir until very cold, about 30 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with lemon peel.
