Art of Choke

The Art of Choke is a stirred rum cocktail from the United States, bitter and fresh and citrusy. It is made with mint leaves, white rum, Cynar and more, served in a rocks glass over a large cube.

Strength: about 22% ABV in the glass, roughly 17 g of alcohol per drink (an estimate; brands and dilution vary).

Kyle Davidson, The Violet Hour, Chicago, 2008. Stirring a drink with citrus broke the rules on purpose: it keeps the texture silky.
