Suffering Bastard
IBA official cocktail, New Era. Brandy based, shaken, served in a highball.
Ingredients
| Brandy | 30 ml (1 oz) |
| Gin | 30 ml (1 oz) |
| Lime juice | 15 ml (½ oz) |
| Angostura bitters | 2 dashes |
| Ginger beer | top up, about 90 ml |
Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.
Method
- Add everything to a shaker and fill with ice.
- Shake hard for 10 to 12 seconds.
- Strain over fresh ice in a highball.
- Garnish with mint sprig and orange slice.
