French Mule

The French Mule is a built brandy cocktail, fresh and citrusy and long and fizzy. It is made with cognac, lime juice, simple syrup and more, served in a copper mug over ice.

Ingredients

Cognac45 ml (1½ oz)
Lime juice15 ml (½ oz)
Simple syrup10 ml (¼ oz)
Angostura bitters2 dashes
Ginger beertop up, about 90 ml

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Fill a copper mug with ice.
  2. Pour the ingredients in order, topping last.
  3. Lift once gently with a barspoon.
  4. Garnish with lime wedge and mint.
