Gin Sling

The Gin Sling is a built gin cocktail, fresh and citrusy and long and fizzy. It is made with gin, lemon juice, simple syrup and more, served in a highball over ice.

The original sling, a century before Singapore added the cherry and pineapple.

Ingredients

Gin45 ml (1½ oz)
Lemon juice20 ml (¾ oz)
Simple syrup15 ml (½ oz)
Soda watertop up, about 90 ml

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Fill a highball with ice.
  2. Pour the ingredients in order, topping last.
  3. Lift once gently with a barspoon.
  4. Garnish with lemon wheel.
