Chicha Morada

The Chicha Morada is an alcohol-free drink from Peru, fresh and citrusy. It is made with Chicha morada and lime juice, served in a highball over ice.

Peru’s purple corn drink, simmered with pineapple, cinnamon and cloves.

Ingredients

Chicha morada200 ml (6¾ oz)
Lime juice10 ml (¼ oz)

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Fill a highball with ice.
  2. Pour the ingredients in order, topping last.
  3. Lift once gently with a barspoon.
  4. Garnish with diced apple and pineapple.
