Calpico Sour

The Calpico Sour is a built vodka cocktail from Japan, long and fizzy. It is made with Shochu, Calpis and soda water, served in a highball over ice.

An izakaya staple: shochu with Calpis, the milky Japanese soft drink, and soda.

Ingredients

Shochu40 ml (1¼ oz)
Calpis30 ml (1 oz)
Soda watertop up, about 120 ml

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Fill a highball with ice.
  2. Pour the ingredients in order, topping last.
  3. Lift once gently with a barspoon.
  4. Garnish with lemon wedge.
