Lonkero

The Lonkero is a built gin cocktail from Nordics, long and fizzy. It is made with gin and grapefruit soda, served in a highball over ice.

Finland’s long drink, first mixed for the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Lonkero means tentacle, from long drink.

Ingredients

Gin40 ml (1¼ oz)
Grapefruit sodatop up, about 120 ml

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Fill a highball with ice.
  2. Pour the ingredients in order, topping last.
  3. Lift once gently with a barspoon.
  4. Garnish with grapefruit slice.
