Limonana

The Limonana is an alcohol-free drink from Cyprus and the Levant, fresh and citrusy. It is made with mint leaves, lemon juice and simple syrup, served in a highball over crushed ice.

Frozen lemonade blended with fresh mint, the summer drink of Tel Aviv and Beirut alike.

Ingredients

Mint leaves10 leaves
Lemon juice30 ml (1 oz)
Simple syrup30 ml (1 oz)
Water120 ml (4 oz)

Measures for one serve. Open the drink in Bar Bible to scale it to a batch or switch to ounces.

Method

  1. Blend everything with a scoop of crushed ice for a few seconds.
  2. Pour into a highball and top with more crushed ice.
  3. Garnish with mint sprig.
